Has the transition to virtual communication this past year felt overwhelming? Do you feel disconnected using emails and virtual meeting platforms? Navigating the remote workplace is a challenge, and understanding how to create meaningful connections through a screen has become an invaluable skill.
PA CareerLink® is hosting two workshops to set you up for success. Join us on Monday, April 5th at 2 p.m. to learn how to Network to Find a Job. Networking is about building professional relationships within your community to exchange ideas. It is crucial when looking for a job, as 80% of positions are filled through networking before being posted to the public! As you build your professional network, you will learn more about your industry, opportunities for career development, and open positions.
Register for our virtual workshop to learn how to network to land your next job.
Practicing excellent etiquette can also help you network within your field. Learn more by joining us on Tuesday, April 6th, at 7:30 p.m. for our Virtual Etiquette workshop. Take away etiquette tips for interviews, emails, and meetings. Learn how to communicate effectively through various online platforms and promote a positive virtual workspace.
When attending a virtual meeting or interview, treat it as if you were meeting your peers in person. Log in on time. Do not look at other tabs on your computer screen. Take advantage of chat features.
Register today to learn more about the dos and don’ts of virtual communication!
