The PA CareerLink at Pottsville provides services to help you explore your career options. If you're changing careers or seeking a career for the first time, these services are ideal for you:

  • O*Net Interest Profiler: A self-assessment career exploration tool that can help job seekers discover the type of work activities and occupations that they would like and find exciting. Job seekers identify and learn about broad areas most relevant to their interests. They can use their interest results to make career decisions.
  • WorkKeys®: An important first step to prepare for education, training or a career is assessing your skills. WorkKeys® scores assist job seekers in comparing their skills to the skills that real jobs require. Employers use these scores to choose the most qualified candidates for their jobs.
  • Resources: Our Career Resource Center has information on local education and training programs in a variety of career areas, and our CareerLink specialists are also available to assist you.
  • Career Development Workshops: Many workshops are offered each month at the Pottsville CareerLink office to assist you in preparing for interviews and for a new career, including:
    • Basic Computer Skills
    • Interviewing Skills
    • Résumé Writing
    • Microsoft Word
    • How to Apply to Government Jobs
    • And coming soon, Soft Skills Series
